For the CNF Annual General Meeting in December 2025, our shareholder Nations’ political leadership came together, with guests from Coastal First Nations and the Trust, for an update on the company’s excellent progress over the last year.
Despite international tariffs and major changes in the marketplace, CNF continues to be strongly positioned with a diverse collection of assets. In the Community Based Fisheries, CNF supported the preexisting prawn and troll salmon pilots as well as the new groundfish pilot this year.
Strong communication and relationship building is of seminal importance to CNF, be it with the shareholder Nations’ leadership, the Nations’ citizens, our sister organizations in the FRRA implementation, Coastal First Nations and the Trust, or other members of the fishing industry. CNF has made great progress in these areas during the last year and will maintain this course.
Coastal Nations Commercial Fishing, CNF’s subsidiary, has transitioned into a successful active fishing company over the last year and is expected to build on its success moving forward.
All CNF Board members were confirmed for another year to proudly represent their respective Nation in setting the strategic course for the company, with K’unya Laurie Bevan continuing as Board Chair.
