Gitxaała

The Gitxaała Nation is located south of Prince Rupert, with territories stretching from the Nass River to Aristazabel Island on BC’s North Coast. Also known as Git Lax M'oon (people of the saltwater), the Gitxaała have lived on the coast for millennia. The Nation has an active fisheries department overseeing marine resource harvesting and conservation efforts.
