CNF is thrilled to announce Aaron Murray as the inaugural General Manager for Coastal Nations Commercial Fishing.

During visits to Heiltsuk, Kitasoo Xai'xais and Haida Nations, CNF shared updates on efforts to revitalize coastal fisheries on the North Pacific Coast.

Wade Collinson has fished all over Haida Gwaii and the BC coast, and brings that experience to a new joint venture with CNF fishing for halibut and black cod (sablefish).

When the Haida Nation launched a new salmon troll Community Based Fishery (CBF) in 2024, it was an important step in efforts to revitalize fishing livelihoods in Haida Gwaii, and a precursor for future CBFs that will launch across shareholder First Nations.
