Traditional Haida territory includes the archipelago of Haida Gwaii, its surrounding waters, and parts of southern Alaska.
The Haida have remained deeply rooted in their territory and continue caring for and managing their lands, waters, and all life forms. They are guided by their laws ingrained in their stories, ceremonies and traditions as well as the strength of their ancestors and the wisdom of their Elders. The Haida have several co-management agreements with the federal and the provincial government.
