Located in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest on BC’s Central Coast, the Kitasoo Xai'xais First Nation manages its abundant land and marine life using a sustainable approach based on traditional knowledge and robust science. Kitasoo Xai’xais land and marine use planning aims to protect and enhance the surrounding environment while sustaining community well-being and the cultural integrity and economic self-reliance of the Kitasoo Xai’xais people.
